Case Study

Emergency Sinkhole - Void Filling.

Unfortunately for this family in France a sinkhole had collapsed beside their property. In this situation our experienced operators are quick to address the problem, ensuring an efficient and safe solution.

What's the Job?

Our team arrived in Remaugies, France, to fill a large sinkhole that had collapsed on the client’s farm. Since the void formed directly beneath the entrance of a storage building it posed an obvious safety risk. Fortunately no-one was hurt.

The void was roughly 180m³ in size and occurred in an area with relatively easy access. Its unclear what caused the sinkhole but fortunately the composition of our foam additionally strengthens the walls of the hole.

Always Come Prepared

No-one could precisely determine what size and depth the sinkhole actually was. Fortunately one truck, depending on the density of the foam, is capable of transporting anywhere between 100 to 180m³ of foam.

To be certain that we had enough product available two trucks were driven to the site.

Which foam works best?

We used Rg30, a higher density foam, for this project. Typically we use this product for filling voids because as the foam hardens it offers more structural support.

The foam is designed to fill every nook and available space. This ultimately helps to prevent the void from collapsing again and ensures that the situation is safely contained.

As the team had expertly anticipated any possible problems the project was completed smoothly, without any hiccups.

Our Products

For this case study we used RG30 foam. However depending on your needs we provide a range of foams varying in density from medium to strong products.
