Night-time Motorway Filling.

What happens under the cover of darkness? Benefil work tirelessly to fill a void discovered along a main motorway!

Whats the situation?

During the construction of new pipes along the A67 a small void was discovered beneath the bridge. Because of the void’s proximity to the road we needed to fill it urgently before the situation became more problematic!

Naturally we had to complete this job during the night to avoid unnecessary obstructions or delays to traffic. It was also important for the safety of our workers.

So fuelled with coffee our team dashed off to remedy the situation.

Applying the Foam

This job proved to be a straightforward example of filling a void using Benefil RG30 Hardfoam.

Inserting the PE Pipes into the 3m³ void we completely filled the void with foam ensuring the site was now safe – simple!

Location, Location, Location!

Whilst we could easily complete the work, our only obstacle was reaching the void.

Because the void had been discovered UNDER the bridge it could only be accessed from the motorway. Therefore it was necessary for our team to fill the space from the road.
